Leth,Mikkelsen hit the road with DT’sMove On

MCC buys stake in Block’s QED


BY JEREMY KAY Media Content Capital (MCC) has taken a stake in Bill Block’s QED International in an eight-figure deal. Block has sold a portion in a deal that will enable him to grow the development, production and financing business, and boost the agency side of his sales operation by paying minimum guarantees for more projects. QED intends to produce and/or


acquire four to seven features a year, and grow its infrastructure to handle additional third-party titles for sales and distribution. The slate includes Arnold Sch- warzenegger action-thriller Ten.

sold the film to Turkey’s Bir Film. In addition, the Korean distrib-


utor has sold Yu Ha’s action thriller Howling to Japan’s BMS and Rainbow Media for Singa- pore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei; and My Secret Partner to Hong Kong’s Sundream and Japan’s E-motion; as well as Korean romantic comedy Two Weddings And A Funeral to Viet- nam’s Velo Media.


HanWay has hot docs

TrustNordisk has sold its drama Call Girl to Pretty Pictures for French distribution. The political thriller, starring Pernilla August, is directed by Mikael Marcimain. Pretty Pictures has previously worked with TrustNordisk on Thomas Vinterberg’s Competition title The Hunt.
