Agnes B’s Hmmm catwalks into Films Boutique
BY GEOFFREYMACNAB Berlin-based sales outfit Films Boutique has just snapped up worldwide sales rights to My Name Is Hmmm, the debut feature from French fashion designer Agnes Troublé (better known as Agnes B). The film, starring Sylvie Testud,
Douglas Gordon and Jacques Bon- naffé, should be ready by the end of the year. Films Boutique has also taken
sales rights to political drama The Passion Of Michelangelo by Chilean director Esteban Larrain (Alicia In The Land). Also new on the Films Boutique
slate is Becoming Traviata, a fea- ture documentary by Philippe Béziat. Produced by Philippe Martin,
that film follows French soprano Natalie Dessay from the first rehearsals until the premiere of Verdi’s operatic masterpiece under the direction of Jean-Francois Sivadier.
Buyers in Asia click with Showbox horror
BY LIZSHACKLETON Korean studio Showbox has pre-sold horror title Don’t Click to a slew of Asian distributors including Barkarat Cineleisure Group for China, Hong Kong and Vietnam. The soon-to-be released film
has also gone to Queen Interna- tional Pictures for Indonesia and CatchPlay for Taiwan, as well as Innoform Media for Singapore,
Malaysia and Brunei. Directed by horror veteran Kim Tae-kyung, the film is about a high-school girl who is haunted after clicking on dubious video clips. A computer genius friend attempts to save her life. The film, scheduled for wide
release in Korea on May 31, will be the first major horror picture of the year. Showbox’s slate also includes
action films Confession Of Murder, directed by Jung Byung-gil, and A Company Man, starring Asian heartthrob So Ji-sub; erotic thriller The Scent, directed by Kim Hyeong-Joon; Choi Dong- hoon’s heist action blockbuster The Thieves, and Kim Yong-hwa’s 3D creature project Mr. Go 3D, which is a co-production between Showbox and China’s Huayi Brothers.

Bankside finds its ideal Belle

Cosmopolis star Sarah Gadon, while Sam Claflin will play her love interest. Tom Wilkinson, Emily Watson,
