pany of Durham School Services in the United States and Stock Transportation in Canada. He also served as COO for First Student, First Group America’s student transportation division, from April 2008 through February 2010. Blue Bird Corp. announced that it add-
ed 30-year financial veteran Paul Tighe to its executive team. Previously, Tighe was the executive director of business strat- egy for Ford Motor Company based in Shanghai. His experience includes finan- cial control and strategic planning both
domestically and in South America, Asia and Europe. Meanwhile, Blue Bird recently hon-
ored school bus driver Earl Rineer for 35 years of service transporting Pennsylvania school children in an evolution of Blue Bird school buses. “I am pleased to receive this recognition. Each day, I look forward to serving children and people from every walk of life,” said Rineer, who, at age 89, has no plans to retire from Sague School Bus Service. Lt. Brian Reu succeeded Lt. Eddie Car-
roll as the state director of transportation at the Minnesota Department of Public Safety in February. A decorated patrol of- ficer with several awards from MADD, Reu is a member of the Stake Holders Com-
mittee, which consists of representatives from the Department of Education, the Department of Driver and Vehicle Servic- es, the Minnesota School Bus Operator’s Association, the Minnesota Association of Pupil Transportation and various school bus companies and manufacturers. Te Pupil Transportation Safety Insti-
tute last month named Bill Paul to its board of directors. Paul founded School Transportation News magazine in Sep- tember 1991 and is currently chairman of the board for the magazine’s operat- ing company, STN Media Group, and also serves as editor emeritus of the magazine. He was also inducted into the NAPT Hall of Fame last fall in recognition of more than 25 years reporting on the industry.
