Northwest. The Club also hosts a number of annual social events for its Members including its infamous Pig Roast and the Commodores Ball and Sail-past. In addition to holding their own, Members from the Club participate in “Invasions” and Regatta’s held by other club’s on the Lake to promote inter-club participation. Major expansions of the moorage took place in
1987, 1998, 2007 and most recently in 2011 replacing all but one of our 5 wooden docks and their slips with concrete, making them extremely stable and safe. The Vernon Yacht Club is the only yacht club on Okanagan Lake to be the owner of its own land giving it the certainty to control its own destiny now and into the future. To qualify for a Regular membership your
principal residence must be within a 100 kilometer radius of the Club, providing an opportunity for residents from Kamloops to Penticton, pay annual dues, moorage fees and a one-time initiation fee. Persons interested in joining the Vernon Yacht
