The buyer is the fi rst priority,” explains Norton. “If the buyers are happy, then the exhibitors are happy. And if the exhibitors are happy, I’m going to be really happy!” With a buyer to exhibitor ratio of more than fi ve to one, everyone’s happy. According to Norton, you have to have enough exhibitors for the buyers, and a healthy number of buyers for the exhibitors. “That’s a hard balance for any show promoter,” she says. ■
