ALLADALE Wilderness Lodge & Reserve Alladale Wilderness Reserve is a 23,000 acre remote Highland estate one hour’s drive from Inverness. A perfect location

for spending quality time with family and friends, it offers a wide range of outdoor activities such as pony trekking, fishing, stalking, clay pigeon shooting, guided 4x4 safaris, mountain biking and hiking. Golf is available at nearby Royal Dornoch.

There are three lodges. The Alladale Lodge is a private, luxurious house which sleeps 14 people in seven en-suite bedrooms. The house is let on an exclusive-use basis and is fully staffed with fine food, attentive service and roaring log fires.

There are two self-catering lodges which both offer large living areas, high ceilings with exposed beams and beautiful deer antler chandeliers. The fully equipped, hand-made Scottish oak kitchens come complete with a daily breakfast pack. Packed lunches and Stalkers’ suppers can be provided. In keeping with this rich finish, there is the latest in Sonos technology throughout with a 50 inch flat screen TV, DVD player, iPod dock, Wi-Fi and Skype.

Eagle’s Crag accommodates eight people in two double and four single rooms. Ghillie’s Rest, with spectacular views of Glen Alladale, accommodates four people.

The sheer size and scale of the 23,000 acre Alladale Reserve is often enough to help guests find a new perspective in life. The landscape is truly awe inspiring, and the stresses and strains of modern life can seem somehow less consequential when staying on the reserve.
