Bure Valley Adventures, oper- ator of BeWILDderwood adventure park in Norfolk, has lodged plans for a new site at Tatton Park in Cheshire. Proposals for the attrac-
tion were put on show on 23 February as part of a public consultation, which is due to run until mid-March. It is hoped that the plans –
which have already received the support of the National Trust – will be awarded final planning approval in May. Bure Valley Adventures
has liaised with Cheshire East Council and Tatton Park on the project. Tatton Park already receives more than 800,000 visitors a year. Te addition of BeWILDerwood is expected to increase the number of visitors to more than 1 million.
BeWILDerwood is planning to add to Tatton Park’s existing attractions BeWILDerwood director Simon Egan said:

Contractor appointed for Conwy watersports venue
Conwy Council has announced North Wales- based Wynne Construction has been awarded the contract to deliver a new watersports devel- opment on Colwyn Bay Promenade. Te firm, which was recently involved with the construction of the £6.5m Parc Eirias Events
Centre in Colwyn Bay, is expected to take nine months to complete the new facility. A single-storey watersports centre designed
by K2 Architects will house a café/bistro and an educational/conference facility. Details:

Goals reports ‘year of progress’
Goals Soccer Centres has reported a “year of progress and change” in 2011 as sales and operating profits both increased by 9 per cent compared with trading for the previous year. Sales grew from £27.8m to £30.4m and oper-
ating profits increased from £10m to £10.9m over the 12-month period, while pre-tax prof- its climbed 21 per cent to £9.2m. Te operator added four UK sites to its estate
in 2011 – at Hull, Sunderland, Liverpool South and Norwich – but it has now postponed addi- tional launches in 2012. Chester is the only new Goals site due to
open this year. It is the group’s first modular build venue and will cut capital expenditure to £1.5m and build-time to 14 weeks per site. Goals managing director Keith Rogers
said: “We have added a further four centres to our estate and pioneered an innovative
