The introduction of daytime running lights in Scandinavian countries has helped save lives with a reduction in accidents occurring in daylight of between 11 and 21% depending on the country.
Coping with Overvoltage
On many of today’s modern vehicles the measured voltage can be higher than 12v in order to cope with the additional electrical appliances and electric motors.
Bulbs for cars are currently manufactured to operate at 12v and tested at 13.2v however, if the constant running voltage is higher than this it can result in a rapid decrease in the life expectancy of the bulb. Ring Automotive’s Vision24 bulbs provide a better resistance to vehicle overvoltage.
