BIOGRAPHY


Ricardo F. Luna is currently a Senior Quality Specialist in Nestec SA. Previously, he was Regional Quality Manager for Nestlé Nutrition in Latin American North (LatAm North Region), Corporate Quality Manager in Austral America Region (Argentina, Bolivia,


Chile, Peru, Paraguay and Uruguay), Nestlé Japan Ltd and other positions at Nestlé since 1991. Before joining Nestlé, he worked in the Argentinean government in the Quality Control Area for Fruits, Vegetables and Seafood for eight years. He was Professor of Food Microbiology at the UADE (Argentine University of Business), publisher of several articles on food safety and food quality as well as member of different organisations.


In conclusion, it can be certain that food


safety will remain as an important subject, since it is a primary need of populations. In consequence, the know-how on this subject has been increased and it has a concern in the headlines of the media.


Indicators such as ‘life expectancy’ can be used as a support.
