Description: This course is designed to build on the instruction the individual learned in the basic carbine course in the safe handling of their chosen carbine. This course will include detailed classroom instruc- tion and practical application with a crawl, walk, run process. Subjects covered will be a review of the appropriate mindset, mental awareness levels, equipment selection, weapon handling, shooting stances and positions, malfunction drills, and multiple target engagement. Weapons transition from carbine to pistol under self-induced and exterior-induced stress situations will be taught. Tactical decision making drills utilizing various types of cover and barricades and the conduct of safe weapons range fire. More advanced skills will be learned and the basic skills will be reinforced with various shooting drills and situ- ations.

Precision Rifle Course Course Number: MATR-5011 Length: 5 Days Minimum Students: 5 Maximum Students: 15 GSA Price: $1,873.95 Description: This week-long course covers the introductory basics to sniping and sniper operations. Stu- dents should anticipate 8-hour days with minimum down time, and the limited class time and practical exercises will be done at the theatre level. The curriculum covers advanced rifle marksmanship, sniper marksmanship, log books, correcting for environmental factors, judging distance, sniping in an urban environment, observation of ground, observation skills, camouflage & concealment, sniper movement techniques, application of fire techniques and live fire practical exercises at known and unknown ranges.
