Bonhams is looking to employ an experienced Senior General Valuer to develop its business and manage the small team at our Guildford office.
In addition to helping expand business in the area, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, providing verbal and written valuations for probate, market and insurance purposes; sourcing goods from the region; helping with the cataloguing of items when required, and assisting at events and valuation days.
With a confident, professional approach, and excellent interpersonal skills, you will have an extensive knowledge of current auction and trade worlds, as well as initiative and leadership qualities. A full driving licence and own vehicle is required for this role.

We are currently seeking someone to join our in-house cataloguing and valuing team. The right candidate will be highly motivated with a good ability to multi- task and take on an active role in helping to develop the company’s business.
You will have a minimum of fi ve years general valuing and cataloguing experience with particular interest in Furniture; Rugs and Works of Art. You should have excellent written and oral communication skills and be computer literate, with the ability to work toward deadlines. This position gives the right person the chance to increase their valuing and cataloguing knowledge, working within a dedicated team in an established London auction house, with the chance of further advancement within the company.
