A rare Yixing teapot and cover, c.1700, each side applied with two stylized mythical beasts above a branch of flowering peony, the cover surmounted with a lion dog holding a stick with a rotating brocade ball in its mouth, its left forepaw resting on the back of its puppy, the spout and handle with silver metal mounts joined by a chain, unmarked, 23cm.
