Bell Helicopter Recogized by Texas Veterans Commission
Bell Helicopter was recognized by the
Texas Veterans Commission at its 64th Annual Statewide Training Conference held in Houston, Texas. Bell Helicopter’s Military Aircraft Assembly and Delivery Center in Amarillo, Texas received the Large Employer of the Year Award for its successful efforts to hire veterans and its continued commitment to support the Texas Veterans Commission.
“Bell Helicopter has been one of the constant contributors to both the veter- ans-only job fairs and the Workforce Solutions Panhandle job fairs,” said Marshall Green, veterans employment representative.” Bell Helicopter’s Military Aircraft Assembly and Delivery Center is a unique employer with a workforce com- prised of almost 40 percent veterans. “We have a high-performing work-
force in Amarillo,” said Roger Williams, director of site operations at the center. “The veterans who work here have an incredible sense of pride in what they do. Many of them see it as their way of continuing to support our troops, and this is reflected in the way that we meet the quality targets and deadlines of the warfighter. We are honored to receive this award and are committed to our workforce and our partnership with local veterans associations.” ◆
