The Singapore Maritime Foundation Steering the maritime industry
The Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) was established in 2004 as a private sector-led organisation to develop and promote Singapore as an International Maritime Centre (IMC). As the representative voice for the commercial players of the maritime industry, SMF seeks to forge strong partnerships between the public and private sectors and spearhead initiatives to develop the diverse clusters of the maritime industry, raise the profile of maritime careers and the maritime sector, and attract talents to join the maritime workforce. Some of SMF’s key initiatives include the iconic maritime conference and exhibition, Sea Asia and the Singapore Ship Sale Form amongst others.

Singapore Ship Sale Form A evolutionary leap forward
The Singapore Ship Sale Form (SSF) was launched on 6 January 2011 by Singapore Maritime Foundation. The SSF was formulated in response to the maritime community’s call for an updated and viable ship sale and purchase form in view of increasing maritime activities and developments in the maritime scene. The SSF incorporates the latest regula- tory changes and payment procedures and is designed to address pertinent issues of interest to the shipping community, in particular the Asian shipping community. The SSF initiative is in line with SMF’s focus to develop and strengthen the maritime services sector and to encourage more maritime arbitration activities in Singapore.
