Maryland Trails on TV


Maryland trail riders Kathy Dobson, Donna McCullough and Chris Conner will be featured in an upcoming episode of “Outdoors Maryland.” T e show will air on Maryland Public Television on October 18 at 7:30pm and October 22 at 5:30 am and 5:30 pm and will focus on the multiuse trails in the Patapsco Valley State Park.

Wedell Grant from the EQUUS Foundation; …apprentice jockey Sarah Rook for capturing her fi rst jockey title with nine wins at the Mary- land State Fair; ...Elizabeth Goodwin and her horse Bugsy for earning their USDF Bronze Medal; …trainers Dane Kobiski and Dale Capuano, who shared the Timonium trainer title for four wins each at the Maryland State Fair meet; ...the Potomac Building in St. Mary’s County, where Equiery photographer Beth Collier works, for winning the “Bring the Buy Local to the Workplace” photo contest; …Maryland’s Ben’s Cat, trained by King T. Leatherbury, who won the $200,000 Pennsylva- nia Governor’s Cup on July 30, the richest race on the Penn National Racecourse calendar.

Sarah Alexander won the reserve champion- ship for the Small Pleasure Pony division at the Maryland State Fair on September 1. She rode Erica DeGele’s Chincoteague pony Al- most Magic for the tricolor.


Miranda Iager rides A Touch of Class at the National Mule Show in Tennessee this past July where the Miranda earned the National Reserve Cmapionship title in Showmanship.
