It all went over my head at that time but while I was there we spoke at length and became friends and he told me of a music study intense program that he ran in New York at the Columbus University and that I should apply for a grant to study there, a few months later I was on a plane to America for my first visit. Since then I have travelled to Europe, and the U.S.A. to listen, watch, and learn from.

Studying face to face with the old masters including John Jackson, Louisiana

Red, Philadelphia Jerry

Ricks and John Cephas. And with other great modern performers including , John Miller and Michael Messer. A few years ago I spent time at Mike Dowlings ranch house in the Rockie mountains, flying to Las Vegas and then driving two thousand miles up country with a friend Grizzly Grimes ( we had plenty adventures along the way ) to Wind River Wyoming where Mike and his lovelly wife Jan really looked after us.

I regularly attend European Blues Association events for the shareing of in depth knowledge, late night discussions, long jams, and tons of help and encouragement. I t is true to say I have met many famous people who have helped and encouraged me and are now my friends. I now play six string wood guitar, twelve string, reso-phonic guitar, Banjo. And some ukelele. And I am having an absolute

ball. I do like to teach guitar to all levels and styles and have many students from all walks of life and my mission is to help people to discover the joy of music I am convinced it is good for mind body and soul and is definitely a universally spiritual thing. Music makes the world a better place!

THE MUSIC I PERFORM Is old American acoustic blues , country blues, Delta blues, Fingerpicking and Bottleneck slide, like from a hundred years ago, with thumping bass lines intricate melodys and catchy grooves and words telling a story. I like all kinds of music to listen to but I only have the passion for playing this old stuff I really love it , and fortunately for me everywhere I play young and old alike love it too.

HIGHLIGHTS OF 2010 WITH DEEP NORTH FRANCE EUROTOUR. The fun started with the whiskey tasting on board the luxurious San Michael cross channel ferry.

Driving south through the lush rolling French countryside, enjoying the open roads, observing the wildlife, listening to Cajun music and feasting on baguettes cheese and the local wines, our first stop was La Chevalier and the delightful town of Ville de la Poelle at Raymond and Silvia’s street café terrase bar where we enjoyed a very warm atmosphere well into the early hours.
