Improving Performance

Effective team performance brings huge benefits to an organisation.

We work with local authorities and other member organisations to design and deliver customised and sustainable workforce solutions to significantly enhance team performance and culture.

We train, coach and mentor your workforce – in teams and individually – to develop

their visioning and planning skills, to help them manage conflict, to enable them to recognise the principles of high performing teams and to implement them and to develop leadership and management skills.

There’s more! Our offer also includes strategic HR development, Large Scale Change training and facilitation of Action Learning sets.

Team coaching has helped us to develop our understanding of what we need to do to be a high performing team. Our team meetings and discussions and decision making are now much more purposeful. We are much better able to constructively challenge and hold one another to account and are exploring the benefits of coaching across the organisation.

Community and Democratic Engagement

Our community and democratic engagement package is aimed firmly at councillors. Why? Because they are the people chosen by their communities to represent them.

If councillors are informed and equipped to carry out their roles effectively and know how to engage in a powerful, positive way with their communities then the democratic process can be maximised for everyone’s benefit.

Our programme includes personal development planning and mentoring for councillors, training in the scrutiny process, tailored leadership development for portfolio holders, cabinet development coaching, leadership roles on joint boards and safe-guarding children.

As a new councillor of just 12 months I was delighted to be given the opportunity to take part in the Working in Neighbourhoods Level 2 accredited course. I have benefitted very much from taking this course by learning more about my role and how to apply it in my area both with constituents and with the Local Authority and other agencies. I would recommend anyone, particularly new councillors, to jump at the opportunity of participating in this training.
