the Syracuse area. Nominations are now sought to fill five


more mid-term vacancies on the board. Members elected to fill mid-term vacancies will serve until the regular three-year terms expire July 31, 2012. Nominating petitions will be available


beginning July 7 to fill the following vacancies: • Seat 10, which represents all


members at the Banking Department; • Seat 155, which represents certain


members at the Adirondack Park Agency; • Seat 172, which represents certain


members at the state Office of Technical Administration, the Statewide Wireless Network and the state Foundation for Science and Technology; • Seat 235, which represents all PEF


Region 8 members at the state Labor Department, except those working in Unemployment Insurance, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, Unemployment Insurance Modernization and Special Investigations; and • Seat 240, which represents all


members at the state Labor Department working in Unemployment Insurance, the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, Unemployment Insurance Modernization and Special Investigations, and those working in PEF Region 9. Nominating petitions must be


submitted by July 28. If more than one candidate is certified for a seat, an election will be held. Ballots will be mailed August 15, for return by September 6. The American Arbitration Association will count them September 7 in New York City. —Sherry Halbrook
