May 6 Deadline to register for the June 5 SAT Reasoning and Subject Tests at Mater Dei. Register at www.

May 6 Deadline to register for the June 11 ACT Test at Mater Dei. Register at

SAT Reasoning and Subject Tests at Mater Dei 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Register at www.
collegeboard.com.
Advanced Placement Tests dates. All students registered in AP Courses are required to take their designated AP Tests. Advanced Placement exams will run through May 2-13. All students currently enrolled in AP Courses are required to take their respective AP Exam. If you are unsure if your student’s AP exam fees are paid in full or have questions please email Ms. Wells at
jwells@materdei.org.
May 11 NHS Award Ceremony , 7:30 AM. LeVecke Center (Seniors in good standing will receive their cords for graduation.)
May 12 SOAR Testing, 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM. Students who plan to attend Orange Coast College, Coastline, or Golden West College, must take this placement test. It will give students priority registration next fall. Students must sign up with Ms. Castro in the College and Career. For more information, please email Ms. Castro at

May 26 NHS Used Book & Backpack Recycling begins through last day of school.
Enrichment Summer Programs: Sophomore and Junior students may attend any community college this summer, or next fall, by obtaining a Mater Dei permission form signed by his/ her counselor, and completing a community college application. Many of the community college courses are transferable to colleges and universities. The courses are free for high school students.
Attention Parents of AP Students: MDHS students taking AP exams have received a College Board AP Bulletin, information required for testing, and a calendar with pertinent dates and times. It is imperative that students and parents read and review this information. Once you and your student have reviewed the test dates the student must contact his/her AP teacher(s) and Ms. Wells, in the guidance office if the student is unable to take the exam on the specific test date. Please note there will be an additional fee for students to take an AP exam during the late testing period. For more information visit
