delighted by the influx of diners, somuch so that she advises those planning to eat to book in advance, especially on Sundays. She is also happy that the pub's


diary is filling up with key dates, starting this Thursday (17th)with St Patrick's Day when she will be serving boiled bacon and colcannon, plus a starter, for £9.95 - and a free shot of Irish whiskey. The theme continues on


Saturday when England travel to Ireland for the final Six Nations game - and a possible Grand Slam triumph for the visitors. Rugby

dates is a quiz night organised by Dandelion Time, a project for children with serious emotional and behavioural difficulties, which is based in the village and is the pub's chosen charity. A busy time for the Good Intent


continues next month with Mother's Day (April 3) - again, advance booking is advised - Good Friday (22), St George's Day (23), Easter Monday (25), the Royal wedding (29) and Bank Holiday Monday (May 2). The restaurant has stunning


views across the Medway valley and for families there is the added attraction of a play area on the adjoining, spacious green. Light snacks are served at


lunchtime and evening meals from 7-9pm. Sunday roast is available from noon till 4pm, priced at £6.95 for the main, £9.95 for two courses and £12.95 for three courses. Pauline says: "What we offer is


an old fashioned, homely pub with a refurbished restaurant."
