Charity BBQ raises £800
LOCAL businesswoman Jan Harley has raised funds to support a charity that helped her through her cancer treatment. Kind-hearted Jan
from Brecon held a pink strawberry barbecue last month in aid of Breast Cancer Care Cymru and around 60 generous friends, family and neighbours helped her to raise cash for the cause, enjoying pink champagne, a barbecue and strawberries and cream along the way. Jan’s event was the latest
in a long line of fundraising initiatives to support the cancer charity as she explained to The Brecon & Radnor Express: “I’m passionate about doing all I can to give something back. “When I was going

It’s nice to be able to pick up the phone and speak to someone who knows what you are going through is normal, and they get you through the night.” A total of £803 was raised
