More progress for Corries
BRECON Corries manager Damien Daniels continues to be impressed with his side’s pre-season showings. The Corries drew
1-1 with Spar Mid Wales League Division 2 side Llandrindod on Wednesday, July 28 and followed up that with a 3-3 draw also at home against Welsh League Division 2 side Llwydcoed. A hard fought match
dominated for the first 20 minutes but were unable to test Corries ‘keeper Steve Price. The Corries got into
the game, playing some neat football, with Jack Bain putting in a good first half performance. Several changes
made at the break saw the Corries start off as they ended the first, playing some very good football and with a lot more tempo. A counter attack

against Llandrindod was a ‘good workout’ for both sides, claimed Daniels. The
corner found the head of Wayne Pritchard and the home
salvaged a draw. Daniels said: “It
was a very tough game against Llandrindod and a draw was a fair result. “We
some young lads and a few boys who hadn’t been able to train much so it took a while for us to settle down and start playing. “We
switch off a bit towards t he end and our sloppy play allowed Llandrindod to score. “The Llwydcoed
brought the home side the first goal, p l a y er- m a n ag er Daniels breaking from half way, playing a neat one- two with Brian Keddle, before rounding the ‘keeper to score. The Corries failed to
make their possession pay and Llandrindod equalised after
sloppy defending. On Saturday
the Corries drew an entertaining 3-3 game against Llwydcoed. The Corries started
