MEMBERS: 500Members. General member- ship includes owners of parking facilities in the City of New York and adjacent suburbs as well as associate and allied members and vendor members who service the industry.


The MPA is the exclusive bargaining agent for itsmemberswith Local 272 IBT. Additionally, the MPA monitors and reviews legislation impact- ing the parking industry and provides a clearing house for information concerning the parking industry for its members, governmental agen- cies and the general public.

MEMBERS: Currently the association has approximately 120 members representing public agencies, hospitals, colleges, universities, and commercial operators.


TheMPA is a statewide organization interested in assisting and aiding association members in fostering up-to-date understanding of parking principles and practices to provide a forum for sharing and disseminating information specific to the parking industry.


TheMichigan Parking Associationwas founded in 1982. Ted Perez was instrumental in organiz- ing the initial meeting. Approximately 20 people met at the Holland, MI, organizational get- together. In the fall of 1982, the first annual busi- ness meeting was held. Since that time, the MPA has grown and prospered. Activities have included hands-on technical training sessions for member and their employees, workplace violence seminars, spring and fallmeetings, and golf outings.
