He joins Christine Banning who was appointed the President of the organization.
Banning is an experienced, nonprofit executive with a proven
track record building brands, innovative uses of technology, sup- porting member development and increasing organizational suc- cess. Banning is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and member of theAmerican Society ofAssociation Executives. Hatfield, CPP was elected to a two-year term as Chairman of
the Board at the organization’s convention in Boston in October. He will serve as Chairman of this national trade group represent- ing the parking industry, which was established in 1951. Hatfield is a Certified Parking Professional, having earned that the NPA’s certification in 2008. “NPA has been a valuable part of the growth of our family-

Hatfield is the president of Colonial Parking, Inc. inWilm-
ington, Del. He leads a family-owned business withmore than 40 parking facilities, 285 employees and management operations in theWilmington, Del., and Delaware County and Philadelphia, Pa., areas. Having held national Board of Directors roles since 1998,
most recently, he served on the ExecutiveCommittee as chair-elect and vice chair. He is a 20-yearmember of the association, as is his

struction review as well as initial implementation of parking con- trol systems, and he has been actively involved in the design, con- struction andmanagement of severalmajor garages. Recognizing the critical link between parking and real estate,

he is also a second vice president of the Committee of 100, an eco- nomic development organization inWilmington, Del.; immediate past chairman of the TransportationManagementAssociation of Delaware; co-chair of theWilmington Renaissance Corporation TransportationWorking Group; a committee member of theMain StreetWilmington Design Committee; a member of the Commer- cial-Industrial Realty Council in Wilmington, Del.; and a mem- ber of the Urban Land Institute. Hatfield is the founding co-
