Tree of Life Hussif

A hussif was the name given to the useful folder or bag used by the matron of the house, often used to house embroidery. The term “housewife” originates from the “Hussif”

Our lovely pure linen hussif was copied from an early 18th Century example and is beautifully made and ready to stitch. It was designed to be easy to handle and is complete with pockets where you can slip your hand whilst stitching. The pack includes the coloured chart with an alphabet so that you can personalise your version.
