Services Announces Acquisition of LifePort, Inc.; First Acquisition For New Accessories Business Segment

recently announced the acqui- sition of LifePort, Inc., a Washington aircraft accessories manufacturer that specializes in air medical systems, lightweight armor, interior furnishings and EnfliteTM galley equip- ment for fixed and rotary wing aircraft. This acquisition estab- lishes SAS’s new accessories business segment. LifePort, which had been

privately owned, will operate as “LifePort, a Sikorsky Aerospace Services Company,” retaining its current executive management team. In addition to its primary facility in Woodland, WA, LifePort operates additional manufacturing facilities in Georgetown and Plano, TX. “LifePort has a history of designing, manufacturing, and supporting the highest quality aviation components available in the fixed and rotary wing indus- tries,” said David Adler, President of Sikorsky Aerospace

Technologies (ADAT) and Sikorsky Aerospace Services recently announced the launch of a joint venture to provide world-class military aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services to the

United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces and other mili- tary operators internationally. The joint venture, known as AMMROC (Advanced Military Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Center), brings together ADAT’s track record of high quality and reliable main- tenance services, and Sikorsky Aerospace Services’ Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) expertise. With the combined strength of the joint venture parties and an aggregate investment that exceeds US $800 million, AMMROC will draw on decades of experience and expertise in aerospace engineering, material support, logistics, maintenance, component repair, overhaul and training to deliver a fully integrated MRO support pro- gram by a single provider. This will enable AMMROC to pro- vide innovative platform solu- tions for all fixed and rotary wing aircraft, to ensure guaran- teed aircraft readiness, deploy ability, improved safety and self-reliance.
