Cupcakes with a gardening future!
bespoke cupcakes for all special a bid to be different from all the other giving a seeded shape away with each cupcake. This is a shape (our favourites being butterflies and flowers) made out of biodegradable paper that has wildflower seeds embedded within. So after eating your yummy cupcake, we then ask you kindly to plant the shape in your cupcake container and grow some pretty flowers! Hence the name Garden at Shepton Mallet street market
Hoping for a glimpse of the royal blue butterfly

Street in Somerset in June and July and you might be lucky enough to get a glimpse of the royal blue butterfly. It is see the spectacular butterfly. Its flight season is from early June to late July depending on the weather; look out for them basking on wild thyme and other plants.
Day courses starting at Deans Court

Throughout the summer a programme of talks and courses together with lunch will be held on a variety of subjects such as beekeeping, growing your own vegetables, creating a herb garden, hen keeping and caring for fruit trees. The coffee and biscuits and end with a two- course lunch with wine.

invited to go green at a garden centre in the county and create their own eco-system... in a bottle. during its Wildlife Weekend, which is running in conjunction with Exmoor Zoo, on 31st July and showing children how to create a mini eco-system litre plastic bottle, cutting a window about half-way too to really make the rainforests come to life. “Once
feeding wild birds or adding frogspawn to ponds, to a more life-changing promise, such as doing as much as possible to recycle household waste.” Zoo Wildlife Weekend

Historical dance delights at Barrington Court
house used to be furnished by Stuart Interiors with reproduction hard and soft furnishings. Since the recession forced the firm to leave, the house has deliberately been kept empty, so visitors can experience the beautiful uncluttered spaces and visualise the house as it was.
So when Ann Hinchliffe walked across the sprung dance floor of the Great Hall, her passion for historical dance took over. Moreover, she knew the right people to try a
summer; and a new series is being run this year.
“These dances are what the Great Hall and Long Gallery were really used for,” says Matthew. “They make this house into a window on history, and visitors of all ages love it, whether they join in or just watch.”
Ann. “The enthusiasts who enrol have to work hard to perform in two hours what do some simple dances for anyone to try, including children. And we often have live music, which is a delight to listen to.”
The dance days at Barrington Saturday 17th July; Sunday 7th and Saturday 22nd August; and Sunday 12th and Saturday 18th September. There are also two “have- a-go” evenings of Playford dances in the Great Hall, on Tickets £5 (£4 concessions)
