show begins at 8 a.m. and will feature the six SHOT divisions, Open, Non Pro, Limited Non Pro, Novice, Youth and Green


SHOT is hosting a herd work competition at 7 p.m. This class is judged on the ability of the horse to work a cow by separat- ing it from the herd, driving it to the middle and holding the cow. During the herd work, horses will not be penalized for reining, but should display their natural ability. The herd work competition is open to any contestant who is entered in the SHOT show on Saturday. Saturday’s SHOT


– The Stock Horse of Texas is bringing their program to “help you ride a better horse” to San Angelo’s Spur Arena on August 6-7, 2010. The weekend of fun kicks off on Friday morning with a SHOT clinic, starting at 9 a.m. The clinic will focus on all four classes of SHOT, in- cluding reining, cow horse, trail and pleasure. Friday evening is SHOT Family Night, with a hot dog supper and a stick horse trail contest at 6 p.m. Later that evening,
