A Weaverville man arrested in
March 2009 on five felony drug
charges pled guilty and has been
sentenced to at least 70 months in
prison.
Paul Gary Rice, Jr., pled guilty
Jan. 11 to two counts of trafficking
cocaine, maintaining a vehicle for
the purposes of drugs, possession
with intent to sell, manufacture or
deliver and possession of drug para-
phernalia, according to the Bun-
combe County District Attorney’s
office. He was sentenced to 70-84
months of active time.
He still has a pending driving
while impaired charge, according
to the district attorney’s office.
Rice was arrested by Buncombe
County Sheriff’s Office deputies
March 27 of last year at his place of
business in Leicester.
Paul Gary Rice, Jr., has
been sentenced to 70-84
months in prison.
