wind chills hover-
ing around zero sent
shivers down the col-
lective spine of North
Buncombe earlier
this week.
Snow decorated the
ground in some areas
Monday (Jan. 4) and
Tuesday ( Jan. 5), con-
tributing to several
minor accidents be-
tween Woodfin and
the Madison County
line on an icy future
Interstate 26 and
forcing a cancellation
of North Buncombe
schools on Tuesday
and Wednesday (Jan.
6). The primary cor-
ollary from this lat-
est blast of winter
was the bone-chilling
wind.
