Looking ahead with
Brokers’ Monthly -
celebrating 60 years
A modern outlook combined with traditional values. This is the
approach taken by many brokers up and down the UK and it also
the aim of Brokers’ Monthly.
Next year marks the 60th anniversary for a magazine launched
by John Sadler in 1950. He understood the broking market inside
out, having worked as a provincial broker in Stourbridge. He was
determined to create a title which would speak to the smaller,
independent broker - even then there was a gulf between the big
national players and those who chose to stay local.
Brokers’ Monthly is determined to remain loyal to smaller brokers
- but we are also moving with the times. Readers will note we have
a bold new look and next year we will also be holding a number of
regional events.
These will include our annual Networking Dinner - which keeps
getting bigger and bigger. This will once again take place in
October, although we may need to move to a larger event. The last
event attracted some superb reviews, a few of which are shown
below right. Beyond this, we have other exciting plans in store - so,
as the saying goes, watch this space!

would come again and recommend
it to others.”

say I was privileged to hear that

mesmerising
Barbara Bradshaw, chief executive,

with many other industry functions
of a much larger size.”

spellbound audience, not a joke in
sight and everyone’s moral compass
matrix well and truly touched. More
Monthly
of the same if such a thing exists.”
