HOWLONGWILL A SPONSORSHIP USUALLY LAST?

Child Sponsorship is an important commitment and should not be entered into lightly. We ask that you commit to the length of time the child still has at the educational facility they are attending. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, please consider being a Program Parent and contributing to the general Sponsor-A-Child fund to be used where needed the most. You will still have the opportunity to participate and interact with the children as part of the Humanity Healing Global Family.

We hope that you will want to support and be a part of Humanity Healing International’s efforts and work with us for some time. Our work is long-termendeavor and with the committed support from sponsors they may allow us to achieve lifelong results. Many of our supportersmay stay with us for a significant number of years and some may even sponsor several children during that time.

Many circumstances can however change during your sponsorship: the child's family might migrate to another area, or your financial circumstances could change. What is important is not the level of involvement that you choose to embrace, but your “will” to directly or indirectly help transformchildren’s lives to create lasting change.

IS THIS THE ONLYWAY TO HELP THESE CHILDREN?

The short answer is: No. The children that we feature for sponsorship are part of schools or communities that Humanity Healing International is working with to help the Healing process for many children. If you do not wish to sponsor an individual child one-on-one, please consider donating to the Project Fund and helping make a smaller difference for all of them.

ADOPT A SCHOOL OR CLASS

Humanity Healing International is connecting schools in the West with schools in sub-Saharan Africa to not only help the schools with resources (such as teacher exchanges) to improve educational opportunities, but also to raise awareness and understanding of our connection as one humanity through education on both sides of the world. We believe that when we help others, we help ourselves.

If you are a teacher and would like your class or school to learn about and connect with school children in Africa, please call or write Humanity Healing International. We have educational materials as well as a Pen Pal program your students can participate with.
