Dear ShowBiz,
Dear ShowBiz,
As usual I go online to read your magazine
Janet Fall helped me get in and out of the ring for years, since I was a little girl. I am
every issue, thank you for putting the entire thing
not sure she will remember me but I was one of Bob Kovacs riders many years ago. I did
on your web site. This time I was very surprised
not know how to saddle my horse, and was too small to do so by myself. She would come
to see the page on Danny Robertshaw and Ron
out of her trailer and help me and laugh about it, it made my life much easier as we did
Danta about the dogs they save. They are heroes to
a lot of our own work back then, not so many grooms. I will remember her humor and
so many animals but do not get the recognition they

RUMBA ARTICLE CORRECTION - OVERSIGHT
In the May/June issue of ShowBiz I was thrilled to do an article on the wonderful hunter, Rumba, he is one
of my all time favorites!! In that article we overlooked including the information relating to what made this such a
wonderful horse in the first place.
Newmarket Training Stable, in Rancho Sante
Fe, was responsible for the initial success of this
horse, which eventually made him an ideal candidate
for Mountain Home Farm and Taylor Siebel.
Erin Duffy rode and trained Rumba for Wendy
and Chelsea Wilkinson following his arrival from
Europe, and were instrumental in his becoming one
of the top hunters in the country.
I apologize to Erin, the Wilkinsons and the
Newmarket staff for the oversight and assure them it
was not intentional. In my zest to get the information
out about the purchase by the Siebel's, I inadvertently
ommitted that part of his history.
Kathy Hobstetter, Editor Rumba and Erin Duffy
