The 2009 Jumper Rider Grant
Program will award up to $5,000 of
credit per rider.
With the overwhelming response this
year, the WCAR Board of Directors
made additional Grant awards to three
riders who submitted outstanding
applications. Emily Bullard, Laura
Ware and Kristen Buckels each
received a Grant in the amount of
$500 as well as being invited to spend a
weekend with Olympic Gold Medalist
Will Simpson. Will and Guillermo
Mickie Sage and her client-
Obligado, a WCAR Board Member,
will host the event at Guillermo's
owner, Katie Shannon, are back
home facility in Rancho Santa Fe. The
ladies will spend their days riding and
around the ring again with a
working with Will, in addition he will
new horse. An 8 yr old, Dutch
then cook his world famous bar-b-que
just for them in the evening.

Ultimo comes from Stall Hendrix
winners and a special thanks to the
applicants this year. in Holland and is making his
presense known in the Young
Jumper Divisions. After the tragic
loss of Cochnito CH last fall, it is
good to see this rider and owner
at the back gate again.
