The hotel’s position on Le Morne
peninsula is a big selling point. Nestled
between the turquoise lagoon – where
guests snorkel on the coral reef or hop
onboard a catamaran to join a dolphin
safari – and the imposing Morne Brabant
mountain, the property enjoys one of
the most breathtaking backdrops on
the island.
Resident general manager Pascal
Demarchi says a hotel’s location on
Mauritius is often the difference between
an agent closing a sale or losing the
business.
“It is the most perfect spot on the
island,” he beams. “We enjoy sunshine all
day, the rooms and restaurants all face on
to the moonlit sea at night, and we are
protected from any wind by the imposing
Morne Brabant. You could not pick a better
spot on the island.”
To be fair, it would be difficult to find
any area in Mauritius that wouldn’t lend
itself to a luxury resort. But Demarchi has
a point.
The level of service and friendliness of
the staff also make this resort stand out
from any other I have visited.
