Garden Products focused on in-store solutions and merchandising displays to showcase its new products at Glee. The Outside In Designs® Clocks and Lanterns collection was presented in a Shop-in-Shop environment. Slat wall displays and floor standing units were


complemented with shelf wobblers and ceiling hangers, offering a complete merchandising solution for garden centres. The Smart Solar lighting category was further boosted by the introduction of a new Super Bright range of high lumen solar garden lights. These sharp new designs generate between 3 and 50 lumens of brightness, substantively brighter than regular solar lights, and include stake lights, motion activated and dual power lights, providing lighting solutions for all seasons. There were also some stunning new decorative lights introduced, including beautiful glass solar flower lights, new additions to the much loved solar silhouette range and the Eureka, a dazzling solar lightbulb, further cementing Smart Solar's reputation as the UK's most innovative and impressive solar lighting business. An extended range of Décor products included additions to the rattan animal range; a collection of giant metal flowers; a selection of glass birds and metal animals and an illuminated wind spinner. A range of natural hanging baskets and cones in three new material types were merchandised in promotional dump bins as well as a dedicated metal display stand. The dump bins highlight the Harambee Schools for Kenya Charity, as Smart Garden will donate 50p to this cause for each natural hanging basket sold in 2016.

EGO has unveiled an alternative to the rake to tackle leaves at this time of year, the EGO Power+ Blower. The EGO Power+ Blower is a smarter, safer, more efficient option than petrol, starting first time every time, and avoiding the noise, fumes and vibrations associated with petrol.

Kent & Stowe Garden Life The new Garden Life range of garden


tools launched at Glee has captured the imagination of both the trade and consumers. Research carried out by Crest Garden identified a preference for lighter weight tools among ladies, younger gardeners, people with restricted movement or mobility issues and those who simply prefer a lighter weight tool.


Garden Life is different to other smaller tools on the market which tend to be aimed at children. Marketing manager Natalie Searle said: “Garden Life tools are designed and manufactured with the same craftsmanship and quality as the full size Kent & Stowe stainless


steel range. However they are up to 40% lighter, perfectly balanced and proportioned making them more comfortable and manoeuvrable. They also have the reassurance of a full 15 years guarantee.” Managing director Nick Davies added: “The reaction from retailers and initial demand at Glee for the off fixture Garden Life full colour display modules exceeded our expectations. Additional units were ordered immediately and I am pleased to say that we are now fully stocked on display units and tools to meet all pre-season orders and the anticipated surge in sales of this range as Christmas presents.” The stands include lifestyle imagery and POS to enable consumers to easily identify the right tool for the job.
