Morgan Craft (Muncy Valley, Pennsylvania) got the

medal streak started for Team USA, fi ghting her way through three shootoffs to score her best internation- al result and a silver medal in Women’s Skeet. Caitlin Connor (Winnfi eld, Louisiana) qualifi ed for the Final in second place with 73/75 targets. Once in the Semi- fi nal, she would hit 12/16 targets to fi nish in sixth place. Two-time Olympian and 2008 Olympic bronze

medalist Corey Cogdell-Unrein (Eagle River, Alaska) capped off the U.S. medal run with a bronze-medal performance in Women’s Trap. Given this year’s suc- cess that includes having medaled twice for the fi rst time in her career, the Alaskan native has earned enough points (34) through USA Shooting’s Olympic Points System to make her eligible for nomination to her third straight Olympic Team. However, the U.S. has not earned the second quota in Women’s Trap which would put that scenario into effect. If the sec- ond quota isn’t earned, then all athletes would have to earn the lone Olympic nomination through the Tri- als system in place for selection.
