• An intelligent power management system which starts up and shuts down engines as they are needed


• Passenger lifts which recycle their own power • Efficient heating systems which use waste engine heat to warm water and indoor spaces

• Features to minimise impact on the local environment include a hull designed to create low levels of wash, important for minimising the impact on marine life, and closed cooling systems which will prevent leakage into the Solent
