2015 REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS SET
USA Triathlon has determined the events in each of its 10 Regions that will serve as the 2015 Regional Championships, providing athletes the opportunity to qualify for the 2015 USA Triathlon Olympic-Distance National Championships.


Competitors who finish in the top 33 percent or top five (whichever is greater) in their respective age groups at Regional Championships automatically qualify for the 2015 USA Triathlon Olympic-Distance National Championships, set for Aug. 8 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Special Qualifiers will also qualify athletes finishing in the top 33 percent or top five.

Florida: St. Anthony’s Triathlon (April 26, St. Petersburg, Fla.)
Mid-Atlantic: Jamestown Triathlon (June 7, Williamsburg, Va.)
Mideast: Muncie June Sprint & Olympic (June 6, Muncie, Ind.)
Midwest: Bluff Creek Olympic Triathlon (July 18, Boone, Iowa)
Northeast: Challenge Quassy (June 6, Middlebury, Conn.)
Pacific Northwest: Best in the West Triathlon (Sept. 12, Sweet Home, Ore.) – Qualifier for 2016 Nationals
Rocky Mountain: Boulder Peak Triathlon (July 12, Boulder, Colo.)
South Midwest: Tri Waco (July 26, Waco, Texas)
Southeast: Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon (June 28, Chattanooga, Tenn.)
Southwest: Auburn International Triathlon (May 17, Auburn, Calif.)


 


2015 USA TRIATHLON SPECIAL QUALIFIERS
Mideast: Ohio State University’s Ross Heart Hospital Triathlon (July 26, Columbus, Ohio)
Rocky Mountain: Dino Triathlon (June 27, Vernal, Utah)
Southeast: Renaissance Man Triathlon (July 12, Florences, Ala.)


 


JUNIOR ELITE SERIES ANNOUNCED
USA Triathlon has selected the events that will comprise the 2015 USA Triathlon Junior Elite Series, providing athletes the opportunity to qualify for the 2015 USA Triathlon Youth Elite and Junior Elite National Championships. The USA Triathlon Junior Elite Series serves as a talent identification and development pathway for the organization’s High Performance program. Athletes and teams participating in the series prepare specifically for draft-legal racing. Participation is open to athletes ages 13-19 who will compete in the youth elite (13-15) or junior elite (16-19) divisions.

May 3: USA Triathlon Richmond Youth Elite & Junior Elite Cup (Richmond, Va.)
June 7: USA Triathlon Pleasant Prairie Youth Elite & Junior Elite Cup (Pleasant Prairie, Wis.)
June 20: USA Triathlon Monroe Youth Elite & Junior Elite Cup (Monroe, Wash.)
July 12: USA Triathlon Flatland Youth Elite & Junior Elite Cup (West Des Moines, Iowa)
Aug. 1: USA Triathlon Youth Elite & Junior Elite National Championships (West Chester, Ohio)


 


DUATHLON NATIONALS HEAD TO BEND
The best run-bike-run athletes in the country will travel to the Pacific Northwest for the 2016-17 USA Triathlon Duathlon National Championships, the organization announced March 12.


 


USAT TO HOST MEDICAL CONFERENCE
USA Triathlon will host members of the medical community, including physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, along with race directors, coaches and athletes, at the second Medical Multi-sport Conference Nov. 5-7, 2015, at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
