(MDS), experienced the heroic efforts of the Greater Madison CVB (GMCVB) when the CVB ultimately saved the day for their customer, the Wisconsin School Counselor Association, Inc. (WSCA). Three months before their scheduled conference, the venue they were booked at announced they were closing. With the pressure on to try and find a new location over the same dates, the group reached out to CVBs in cities that could potentially ac- commodate. With the help of the staff at the GMCVB and other local partners, they were able to find a new space over the exact same dates, not an easy feat for a group of their size (1,100 attend- ees) within such tight restraints.
