INSYNCH
Teams Elite Ten girls took part in the early, ISI-based
program. Over the years, the program has grown to serve 57 skaters on four teams. During the 2013–2014 season, as a hybrid
approach, Teams Elite participated in both ISI and U.S. Figure Skating competitions. While bridging the gap between ISI and U.S. Figure Skating, skaters learned the importance of tech- nique, complex footwork and teamwork. T ey enjoyed practicing and competing together and bonded as loyal friends, working toward a com- mon goal. T e skaters worked hard last season, leading to an undefeated season for the beginner team. T e preliminary team won the Midwestern Syn- chronized Sectional and the juvenile team was fi rst alternate for the U.S. Synchronized Skating
Valley Forge Cadettes
Championships. Led by coaches Kelly Critchfi eld, Lauren
Leonard, Kristy Lohre, Danielle Ostrower and Laila Schlesinger, the teams will compete in only U.S. Figure Skating competitions this season. Teams Elite will fi eld teams at the beginner 1, beginner 2, pre-juvenile and juvenile levels. In addition to performing on the ice, team members also perform community service projects; they have donated their hair, made blan- kets for cancer patients and conducted toy and food drives.
