Porcelain Range Set up in Chelsea in 1746 by the silversmith Nicholas Sprimont, Chelsea Porcelain was the fi nest English porcelain factory. In those days Chelsea was a small village near London famous for its good air and market gardens. T e pieces in this range are closely derived from the large collection of botanical porcelain acquired over a long period, beginning in 1947, by Queen Elizabeth T e Queen Mother. Most of


the pieces,


which date from c.1750, can be seen in the cabinets of the Morning Room, Clarence House. Each item in the range has a diff erent design, limited production, photographed in the gardens of Buckingham Palace. Exquisitely gift boxed, authentication card.
