to sing hymns. It seemed a natural thing to do,” said Phillip Carl, pas- tor. “When the earliest Christians gathered for their agape feasts, they drank wine and sang songs. Hymns stir the soul through characteristics such as melody, tempo and key. Wine, too, stimulates reflection through qualities such as body, aroma, taste and color. Can a wine complement a hymn in the same way a chardonnay can complement tilapia?” A group of singing oenophiles
