2014 season, Expo Riva allows those sourcing footwear time to make a sample collection to sell on to their customers at some of the major European footwear shows, including Moda.


he 82nd edition of Expo Riva Schuh was an exciting event! Expo Riva is one of favourite shows as it offers an opportunity


It also provides an opportunity to get together


with old friends and new from the footwear trade and to gather information about which styles are selling well in other countries, as well as fashion trends for the coming season.


During the two days I spent at the show in June, the halls were filled with people from far all over the footwear world. It was interesting to note the strong presence from countries outside of Europe, including Russia, China, Mexico, India, Indonesia, the United States and Brazil, as well as those closer to home, notably Spain, Portugal and Italy.


According to the organisers, the 82nd edition of Expo Riva Schuh closed its doors on 17th June 2014, with 10,806 visitors, reflecting the same level of success as the June 2013 edition. The footwear companies and buyers that I spoke to at the show expressed their satisfaction for the quality of business and the high number of contacts developed: two positive signs that prove that the Riva del Garda event is in good shape.


Once again, the international aspect played an


important role in the success of Expo Riva Schuh: the American and Russian buyers who came to
