Yealimi Noh Down three holes with just eight remaining in the


final, 12-year-old Concord resident Yealimi Noah began to have her doubts.


But then a hot putter changed everything. Noh closed with four birdies in her final six holes,


including an 11-footer on No.18, to storm back and win the California Junior Girls’ State Championship 1-up over Rocklin’s Camille Wagg. Non won Nos. 11 and 12, and then birdied No. 14

Dorothy Delasin as former winners of the event. She also is the first medalist and champion of the championship since Carly Childs in 2011. In the Helen Lengfeld Flight, No.3 seed Ty Akabane knocked off No.9 Kelsey Kawaguchi of Los Altos in the finals, 2 and 1.
