FESTIVAL OF SPEED GOODWOOD
One of the many highlights of summer in Britain, and certainly one of the most quintessential British events, is the popular Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The event, dubbed the biggest motoring garden party in the world, is the ultimate celebration of motorsport, bringing together modern day machinery with some of the most iconic cars from decades past.

WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING joined a host of other motorsport teams to tackle the legendary Goodwood hill climb, showcasing some of the team’s impressive heritage vehicles.
The 1996 championship winning FW18 was a particular highlight of this year’s Festival when it was given a special run up the hill by none other than ’96 title winner Damon Hill. Two of the current WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING drivers, Felipe Massa and Felipe Nasr, couldn’t resist taking the car for a run up the hill themselves.
All the highlights from a fantastic weekend of motorsport can be seen by clicking on the video, which also allows you to hear the FW18’s V10 engine roar back into life during its pre-Goodwood shakedown.
The Royal Air Force Red Arrows proved once again to be a popular feature at Goodwood, but they made a very special detour en route to this year’s Festival. They made an honorary flight over the Williams factory in Grove to mark Sir Frank Williams’ 45th year in Formula One. What a treat!
