HIGH PERFORMANCE
IGNITION HIGH PERFORMANCE
The British Grand Prix saw a very special celebration between Thomson Reuters and Williams, as the two companies marked 15 years
of continuous partnership in Formula One. While the Thomson Reuters logo was adorned on the sidepod of the podium-winning Williams Mercedes FW36 in the same prime position as it did on the FW22 in 2000, a new 15th anniversary logo was also created to commemorate the occasion.
Since that first season, Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, has enjoyed a successful partnership with Williams, based on shared experience operating in fast, challenging environments where technology and information are critical; the businesses also share a relentless focus on performance.
Formula One is a fast, tough, precise, technical sport – where it’s not every second, but every hundredth of a second that counts. Thomson Reuters definitely relates to that.
Throughout its history, Thomson Reuters has always been focused on getting the right information to the right people as quickly as possible. In 2000, when its partnership with Williams first commenced, ‘fast’ in terms of ‘real time’ trading meant within three seconds. Now, ‘fast’ is measured in milliseconds, and in one instance a firm recently executed over 6,500 trades in three seconds.
But speed for the sake of speed doesn’t necessarily mean success. In both the world of F1 and in the professional world, high performance is continuous innovation based on information and experience to drive winning results.
A great deal of engineering and advanced technology goes into everything at Thomson Reuters, but it is powered and leveraged by the experience and expertise of talented people who turn information into insight and data, and solutions into opportunities for their customers. Similarly, Williams attracts world class talent who are passionate about applying their expertise and experience for the good of the team each season.
Speaking about the 15th anniversary of the partnership David Craig, president of Financial & Risk, at Thomson Reuters, said; “Formula One is a fast-paced, precise and technical sport in which high performance is driven by continuous innovation, critical information and insight. These values resonate well across our industry and this is why we are proud to mark this 15th year in our relationship with Williams.”
And what better way to celebrate the 15 year anniversary than with a podium result!
