NOTABLE LEGAL PROJECTS


RDA has a very substantial and proven record in infrastructure projects and has developed several energy projects in Mexico (most of them “first of a kind” projects), such as the first privately-owned LPG pipelines, the first compressed natural gas transportation system, the first private petrochemical pipeline and the first solar-generated operational electricity project in Mexico.


RDA team have assisted and represented the interests of diverse clients in different activities such as the Mier-Monterrey natural gas pipeline, the multiple services contracts for the Burgos Basin as well as 10 blocks of the incentivized contracts bid by Pemex E&P. Similarly, RDA represents natural gas distributors and electricity permit holders before the Energy Regulatory Commission such as IPPs, self-consumption, cogeneration and small-scale production, which have a cumulative installed capacity of over 2,600 MW.


RDA lawyers formed the leading group of the project Los Ramones Natural Gas Transportation System, which is the largest natural gas transportation system in Mexico (a 1,021 km long pipeline project meant to transport imported natural gas from the United States of America (USA) to the centre and west of the country). Among the most relevant projects RDA is currently developing there is: the public concession to close one of the world's largest landfills, the 927-acre Bordo Poniente Landfill in Mexico City with a co- generation facility of 58 to 60 MW; a cogeneration facility of 450 MW for a petrochemical complex; a privately owned storage facility of refined products located in Bajío; and a project to export electric energy to Central America. All of the abovementioned projects, among others, represent national and foreign investments for over USD$10 bn.
