Jackie graduated Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta and was subsequently awarded a Master of Laws degree in Computer and Communications Law from Queen Mary, University of London. Within the sphere of Information Technology Law, she has been involved in a broad range of projects from the acquisition of licences, drafting and negotiation of software development and licence agreements for online gaming operators to legal advice, gap analyses and drafting of legal frameworks for various African countries in the Commonwealth. She has carried out various speaking engagements, lectures at Middlesex University and has for a number of years facilitated a training programme on an annual basis in collaboration


with COMNET-IT, the Maltese Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Commonwealth Secretariat. Jackie has also been engaged to advise regulatory authorities in Malta in relation to due diligence and anti-money laundering procedures and is in the process of furthering her studies in the area of international taxation with the Chartered Institute of Taxation (UK).
