I wondered what heaven would be like if Baptists are such a diverse group!

BWA NEGOTIATES DISCOUNTED AIRFARE FOR 2015 CONGRESS Participants attending the 21st

Baptist World Congress in Durban, South Africa, in 2015, can benefit from discounted airfares from South African Airways (SAA), the official airline for the congress. The congress will be held from July 22-26, 2015, at the International Convention Center Durban.

A Baptist World Congress authorization code will be issued to participants by the Baptist World Alliance upon registration for the global event, after which the code may be used to book a discounted airfare directly with SAA. Registration for the congress is preferably done on the BWA website, www.bwanet.org/ congress.

Discounted fares will become available as of August 2014. Travel must take place between July 8 and August 10, 2015. The discount ranges between 5 percent and 18 percent, subject to flight availability. The discount is available on international, regional and domestic travels. Fare discounts will be determined by the origin of travel, flight schedule, and whether persons travel business or economy class. Code share flights are excluded.

Both the BWA and SAA encourage travelers to the congress to take advantage of the discounted airfares.

Further details are available on the BWA website.

In 1985 aſter the children had all leſt home, it was possible for me as a WMU (Women Missionary Union) president of our small church in Ibadan, Nigeria, to atend my first Baptist World Congress in California in the United States. It was a wonderful experience for me. Te then president of USA, Ronald Reagan, addressed the assembly through electronic medium the first day of the assembly. Tere was a lot to learn from people from around the world gathering together in songs and prayers and small group discussions that are upliſting spiritually. Te opportunity didn’t come again to atend the congress until 2010 in Hawaii. I was visiting my children in the US and I seized the opportunity to travel to Hawaii. Again, it was a fulfilling experience worshiping with Baptists from around the world with one faith toward one goal of proclaiming the supremacy of our God to any other gods that others may be worshiping.

I have atended four BWA Congresses and three Baptist Women Leadership Conferences. What I saw and felt in those first meetings sealed my atachment to both events. Te sight of people of all races and nationalities praying, singing and worshipping together touched my spirit in a way it had not been touched before. It enhanced my understanding of what a true relationship with God can do in the lives of those who trust him. It was like seeing the Plans, Future, and Hope God says he has for each of us in Jeremiah 29:11 come alive!
